Depending on the selected package, our programs begin with a first night at Les Collines, in an air-conditioned bungalow designed for family comfort. Upon arrival, we’ll introduce the trek schedule, safety guidelines, and answer any questions. Your vacation is precious—our team ensures the experience is memorable and perfectly suited to your expectations.
The trek’s difficulty is tailored to you, ensuring an engaging and enjoyable immersion. We provide you with a trekking kit: water, snacks, meals, walking stick, jungle jacket, gaiters, shoes and vests (depending on available sizes). We handle all logistics: hammock or tent, sleeping bag, dinner, and breakfast in the forest.
After a warm dinner featuring Thai specialties prepared by our Chef, you'll enjoy a restful night before setting out. The next morning, after a hearty breakfast with homemade pastries, we head into the park with our team: certified wildlife guide, French/English-speaking escort trained in first aid, and official forest rangers.
Distances range from 5 to 15 km per day, depending on your pace, age, and fitness. Expect 3 to 6 hours of walking daily—always adapted to your ability.
Along the way, you may spot gibbons, turtles, spiders, snakes, bears, macaques, wild boars, hornbills—and sometimes even wild elephants! If the first day feels intense, we’ll adjust the program to preserve your safety and comfort.
Wildlife sightings depend on many factors: season, silence, weather. Some areas offer more opportunities but are also accessible by vehicle and more touristy.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore restricted zones before setting up camp. Depending on permissions and your preferences, we may bivouac deep in the jungle in secure zones.
During the rainy season, expect to cross rivers and natural obstacles before setting up camp. Dinner is cooked over a wood fire, followed by a night walk in search of wildlife: deer, porcupines, and other elusive species. We also set infrared cameras to discover our nocturnal visitors by morning.
Our camps are secure, and our team—with over 20 years of experience—always ensures your protection. Respect for wildlife, flora, and your well-being is at the heart of our ethical commitment.
You’ll wake to the sounds of gibbons and birds. After breakfast, we’ll return through jungle and meadows, encountering more wildlife surprises along the way.
Depending on the season, we may finish with a refreshing swim in hidden and pristine waterfalls—an unforgettable conclusion to your trek.
Each trek is unique and personalized. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned adventurer, Les Collines Khao Yai offers safe, educational circuits adapted to all ages and levels.
